Interested in listing your local business on Shop Noke? Here’s everything you need to know –
- It’s completely free! This website is a passion project. If in the future, this becomes a useful resource for our community we may ask for voluntary donations to help cover costs associated with operating expenses (website hosting, etc).
- Your business must be local. For now, we are defining local as headquartered within a 10 mile radius of the Roanoke City Market Building (32 Market Square SE). This is a working definition so we may modify this in the future. Special exceptions on case by case basis (ex. small farms that sell at Roanoke markets).
- Shop Noke is focused on simplicity. No reviews, no transactions, no ads, just connection. The goal of this website is to be an effective connection point between your local business and individuals living in or visiting our city.
- Ultimately, this website functions as a personal blog. We reserve the right to not list (or remove) any business listing, for any reason. Mainly, if we receive significant negative feedback from the community regarding how your business treats customers, we may remove your listing.
- For now, we are focusing on three categories of businesses.
- Food and drinks
- Goods (physical products)
- Experiences (activities)
If in the future this becomes a useful resource for our community we may add a “services” category.
